Notice To All Students.
Please note that before you are cleared to fly on the RAFv server you will need to complete an initial flight with a QFI or QFIT. This rule also applies when you pass out of one training school onto another, ie once you have passed your check flight on the Tucano you will need to do your initial flight on the Hawk with a QFI/QFIT before being allowed to fly the Hawk on the server.
Once you have passed your initial flight on any aircraft you will be permitted to fly on the RAFv server within a 30nm radius of your flight school unless otherwise agreed by a QFI.
The training syllabus or the steps to follow for the flight training school you can find here in the CFS Information Site. This is to help you plan and master the skills needed to complete a check flight at that school. You are free to practise sorties on the server once cleared but please note that some sorties can not be completed without a QFI because of your 30nm limitation.
Fly with a QFI as often as possible as you will need to work through the syllabus with a QFI in order to complete a check flight. If no QFI's are available, use the time to practise what you can within the 30nm limitation online, circuits are always a good start, follow this up by doing some circuits, practise your emergency drills, do a few circuits and then if you have time, a few circuits to finish Obviously, anything you practise outside of the 30nm limit will need to be flown offline.
Flying with others is fun, and you will be amazed what you can learn from QFI's and other members of RAFv. Don't be shy, connect to TS and have a chat, if your future CO is on or members of your future Sqn, go and introduce yourself.
Have a nice stay here at RAFvirtual and enjoy.
