Located in Lincolnshire on the Southern edge of Coningsby village, near the A153/A155 junction, around 14 miles North-East of Sleaford. Only around half an hour's drive from RAF Waddington and RAF Cranwell. Coningsby is the RAF's first Typhoon station, with the added attraction of being home to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF); in fact the BBMF hangar is open to the public on weekdays - well worth a visit.

| Circuit Joining Procedures |
In general.
It is important to standardize the manner in which aircraft approach and join the circuit at an airfield. This standardization ensures that traffic around an airfield will move predictably, both for ATC and other traffic.
There are a number of ways of joining the circuit at an airfield, depending on the direction of approach to the airfield, the orientation of the runway, and the direction of the circuit.
Be aware that CFS is based at Cranwell AB = no-fly zone, except approval granted.
Approaches from the North / North West
When approaching from the North with intensions to land at Coningsby, you will have to fly inbound to the VOR/DME OTR (Ottringham) – 113.90 MHz.
Once overhead OTR, fly this VOR/DME outbound on a heading of 170° for 30.0 nm. Reduce your airspeed to 250 KIAS before leaving this course.
When reaching 30.0 nm outbound make a right turn to a heading of 224° for 7 nm. This will allow you to intercept the ILS for RWY 25 at 110.70 Mhz – Course 257. Reduce your airspeed to 180 KIAS, lower your landinggear and set flaps as required.
Follow your progress on NAV2 via DME CGY (Coningsby) – 111.10 Mhz.
