DESCRIPTION

RAF Brize Norton is the RAF's centre for Air Transportation and Air-to-Air Refuelling, operating VC10, TriStar and C-17 aircraft.  Light aircraft operate daily on the aerodrome; normal visual circuit height 1500 ft QFE, light aircraft circuit height 1000ft QFE.  The aerodrome lies within the Oxford AIAA, with the Oxford/Kidlington ATZ overlaying the north-eastern corner of Brize Norton CTR.

 

REMARKS

1.  Parachuting takes place on the airfield up to FL150.
2.  Cat A aircraft can expect to see vehicular traffic crossing at the upwind end of the runway.
3.  Rwy 08/26 additional non-standard landing strip is marked in white and Twy 7 has some non-standard markings.
4.  Radar monitoring on final approach (Azimuth only) will only be provided on request.
